I loooooove, Awards shows especially the red carpet moments.2012 obviously had those and my oh my, even my best dressed lady on this year's red carpet came as a bit of a shock to me.... well sort of (wink).I came up with my own list of 2012's top 3 best dressed ladies and worst dressed from the Oscar Awards, Grammies and other Awards in between. Starting with the good stuff; My first place goes to Kelly Rowland i don't know about you but at this year's Grammy Awards she stunned me I had no idea she had it in her to pull off the GRAND "ball" look she was absolutely divine in Alberta Ferretti.I'm definately looking forward to 2013 Grammies to see what she will do to follow up that look. My second place and contender of first is the beautiful Sofia Vergara.She always looks amazing,she knows her body and knows how to dress it(YOU SHOULD TO..if you don't ), but the Emmy Awards very much belonged to her.In Zuhai

2012... 2012.. In a couple days we will be saying GOOD BYE! But we will surely remember you for the amazing fashion trends you certainly came along with.As we all know fashion doesn't just VANISH from the face of the earth but EVOLVES as the years and decades go by so will be seeing most of these trends as we make our way into 2013! Inspired I made a collage to give tribute to some of 2012's trends such as the prints, the wedges, colour  blocking  and head wraps.In my own opinion prints made more noise compared to the rest of the other trends, THEY WERE EVERYWHERE! From shoes to dresses (short and long) pants, shorts, jackets... I can go on and on but simply put.. PRINTS RULED! And my personal favourite look was the short printed dress with a belt on the waist,rocked in either flats or heels, in other words its versatile. I have always admired Katy Perry's fashion. It is daring and she is not afraid to try something new and simply just stand out from the crowd. Early November she graced the red carpet with a floral full - length gown from Dolce and Gabbana, at a Dreams Foundation event where she was a nominee.It had mauve flowers and green leaves and what i loved the most about the dress was the belt she added to it which was velvet and had gold bands, turning it into an amazing and garceful ensemble.I simply just love this look :-) [Image: _]

Alice in Wonderland inspired these incredible looking heels, designed by Nicholas Kirkwood as part of a Alice In Wondreland Themed collection in 2010 which was a group effort of invited designers, to showcase their talents. Inspiration really was key here, and the 'bug' really did bite him here. Quirky characters would definately go for this one and yes i'm talking about wearing it to an event. African fashion is rich in colour and creativity, your typical statement piece that add the 'wow' to the 'factor' ;-).Its no secret by now that I am crazy about statement pieces, and if i can add these beautiful South African inspired jewellery to my jewellery box I would be a very happy girl.Surely its something for this summer season, but do remember statement pieces should stand out so don't wear them with competitive clothes eg. The sight of a bra sticking out at the back of a halter-neck and strapless dress or top, is not only distracting, but its very much UNACCEPTABLE, those clothes are designed that way for reason. A good friend of mine brought this to light and i have seen ENOUGH of it. The number of women and young ladies engaging in this "trend", what ever it is, is growing and i am sick to my stomach of a beautiful garment being destroyed by an UNDER GARMENT all because the wearer has been mis-informed that it is ok. ITS NOT OKAY, it is a big NO NO!!! Ladies please, KNOW THIS, nomatter how lovely and beautiful your apparel is, at the end of the day our conversation will not be based on, how amazing you looked it will sound more like; "the dress was nice but that BRA! if only she had done something about the bra she WAS going to look stunning". Don't be astonished when the compliments don't come as you had hoped, our eyes where glued on the bra not the dress

The weather gets cold here and there but the truth is summer is very much near.That said we need to prepare our wardrobes for this time of the year starting with our hair.
